Online exhibition only 29 March 2021 to 30 June 2021

Terms of sale.

1. Etchings must be paid for in full (either online or over the phone) to reserve the artwork and can be collected by appointment from the Victoria Art Gallery from the 18th May (when the Gallery reopens) to the 14th July.

2. For some artworks, the price is available on request only. Prices can be gained by emailing [email protected]

3. The balance for each artwork will be due by 16th June, two weeks before the end of the exhibition. The balance will need to be paid either over the phone by calling (0)1225 477785 or by appointment in person at the Victoria Art Gallery. Appointments can be made by calling (0)1225 477785.

4. Any artwork purchased after the 16th June will need to be paid for in full in order to reserve the artwork.

5. If paying balance in person at the Victoria Art Gallery, you must book an appointment by emailing [email protected]. Payment can be made either by credit / debit card. We regret that we cannot currently take cash payments. Should you wish to pay by cheque please contact the Gallery to discuss as this may require additional COVID secure processes. All artworks must be collected from the Victoria Art Gallery between 1 – 14 July 2021. The Victoria Art Gallery is unable to arrange any delivery of the artwork.

6. In order to collect artworks, customers should book a collection time with the Group Sales Team; this can be done by calling (0)1225 477785.

7. As The Victoria Art Gallery is unable to ship any artworks, customers may arrange for collection and delivery via courier at their own expense.

8. All artworks must be paid for in full and funds received by the Victoria Art Gallery before the artwork is released for collection.  Large payments may be subject to and delayed by money laundering/fraud checks within the banks’ systems.      

9. The customer has 14 days from the collection date to decide if they would like a refund. The Customer will notify Victoria enquiries ([email protected]) within 14 days of the collection date if a refund is required. The customer must organize and cover the cost of the fully insured return direct to the Gallery. After 14 days the customer loses the right to cancel the contract. The Gallery will notify the artist of the customer’s intention to return and confirm receipt in a saleable condition so that the refund can be actioned.

10. A refund will be issued by the Gallery to the customer within 14 days of the receipt of the artwork back to the Gallery, as long as the artwork is in a saleable condition.

11. In all sales of artworks in this online exhibition, the Victoria Art Gallery is acting as agent on behalf of the artists.

12. We will only accept orders made by the purchasing customer; we will not take orders on behalf of other customers.

13. All other terms of sale are covered under UK Government guidelines on distance selling.

When the Victoria Art Gallery (‘the Gallery’) sells a work of art on behalf of an artist or another gallery (‘the Artist’), it acts solely as an agent of the Artist. Artworks are the property of the Artist, and the contract will be between the buyer and the Artist.

The Victoria Art Gallery is acting as agent for the Artist in any sale.  Where applicable, quoted prices include VAT due to the Artist.  A VAT invoice is available on request from the Artist by emailing [email protected]
