The Upper Gallery

The government has announced that from Monday 19th July social distancing requirements and other safety measures in England will be eased. While we are looking forward to life returning to normal, we are also aware of the continuing need to do everything we can to keep visitors and staff safe. For this reason, we have decided to maintain social distancing and other mitigation measures, including asking all visitors to pre-book tickets and wear face coverings while indoors, until further notice.

Please note: The Gallery will be closed on Mondays, with the exception of Bank Holiday Mondays.

The Victoria Art Gallery is located in the centre of Bath, next to the famous Pulteney Bridge. The displays are on two floors. The permanent collection* at the Victoria Art Gallery occupies two rooms on the first floor, whilst the ground floor contains two temporary exhibition spaces (small admission charge applies) which change every couple of months. Should you visit during an exhibition changeover, don't forget that the displays on the first floor remain open as normal. There are various special offers, which can be seen here.

*We will do our best to ensure that the permanent exhibition in the Upper Gallery remains open to all visitors who have booked tickets; however, please note that this cannot be guaranteed as access to the Upper Gallery depends on the availability of our wonderful volunteers.

There are language sheets on display in the Gallery in EnglishFrenchGermanJapanese and Spanish.
