Be the first to bring Toulouse-Lautrec’s Parisian life to Bath – our fundraising campaign starts today

The Gallery is running a campaign on Art Happens, Art Fund’s crowdfunding platform, to raise £12,000 for our most exciting exhibition to date – Toulouse Lautrec and the Masters of Montmartre.

23 July 2019

Next February, the Gallery want to bring the sounds, sights and delights of Toulouse-Lautrec’s thrilling Bohemian Paris life to modern day Bath.  We want to display over 80 stunning and iconic colour posters by Toulouse-Lautrec, Mucha, Steinlen and more.

The Gallery needs your help to raise the final £12,000, to bring to these classics of art history from their normal home on the European continent.

With your help, we can also provide more events and activities. These include a dressing up area so you can get a feel of what it was like to be a performer or an artist in the Moulin Rouge; exhibition trails to explore the language and imagery in the posters; spectacular late-night events and more.

We want to make sure everyone can take part and enjoys the exhibition so there will be community workshops including dance activities and printing skills for local groups. We will also want to give local carers the chance to help curate an element of the exhibition.

Every donation big or small will help us raise £12,000 and you can be part of bringing Toulouse-Lautrec’s Paris to life in Bath. As a thank you, you can choose from limited-edition rewards including tote bags, prints and special experiences.

From Midday 23 July to Midnight 22 August visit the Art Fund website to donate.

Thank you.
