All tickets to the Gallery must be booked online in advance. We are continuing to operate with additional safety measures, including asking everyone to wear face coverings indoors and social distancing, to keep visitors and staff safe. Facilities

Children's activities

Children can take part in a spotter trail during their visit. Activity packs will be available to complete at home.

Pushchairs

There is easy access for pushchairs via our side door on Bridge Street.

Refreshments

Please note: The drinks machine is not available at the moment due to COVID-19.

A coin-operated drinks machine, cups and saucers are available in the first floor rotunda serving a range of hot drinks. Change is available from the first floor reception.

The Pump Room Restaurant is just a few minutes' walk away where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, plus evening dining on selected dates. 

Toilets

Toilets and baby changing facilities are available on the first floor with lift access. Access to our toilets will be available only to visitors who have booked tickets to one of our temporary exhibitions. If you wish to use the toilet during your visit, please speak to a member of our team who will open them for you.

Coats and luggage

Unfortunately there is no storage for luggage or coats. We ask visitors to keep all belongings with them when visiting.

Wi-Fi

Free Wi-Fi is provided in the upper gallery.

Lost property

If you think that you have lost an item of your property while visiting us, please contact our Lost Property Office [email protected]

Please include the following details:

  • detailed description of the item you have lost
  • full details of when you visited and where you might have lost it.
  • the name of the organisation that you were travelling with, if any.
  • your name, and an e-mail and telephone number where we can contact you.
  • an address to which we can post the item.

We will ask you questions about the item of property to make sure that you are the rightful owner.
If postal charges are significant, we will ask you to contribute to them.
It is our policy to keep lost property for a minimum of six weeks and to offer unclaimed items to charity.
