Can I get a refund?

You have a 14 day cooling off period from when you have received the artwork. You must notify us on [email protected] of your intention to return the artwork within this period. If it is not in your spam folder please email [email protected] to have your order confirmation sent out again.

How do I know If I have sold an artwork?

You will receive an email from [email protected] which will notify you of the sale of your artwork. This email will include the customers details for you to arrange shipping. You must arrange shipping within 14 days of this notification.

I have posted my item but I haven’t heard from my buyer to say they have received it?

As long as you have your shipping information as evidence it has been posted and signed for, don’t worry. Victoria Art Gallery or Bath Society of Artists will deal with any other queries from the buyer, including refund requests.

How do I deliver work framed behind glass, or otherwise fragile work, to the buyer?

Artists who have sold fragile or glazed artwork should use a specialist art delivery company when sending their work, in order to ensure its safe delivery. Art delivery companies can be researched on the internet and they all give quotes by email.

When will I receive payment for my sold artwork?

Reconciliation and payment will be a monthly process at the end of the month after 42 days have passed from the date of sale (to allow enough time for refunds to be processed).

The buyer lives overseas. Who covers the cost of shipment?

Delivery and dispatch to a UK address are included in the price paid for the artwork. If international shipping is required, the customer must contact [email protected] who will then notify the artist. The artist will provide a quote to the customer and then invoice the customer directly for the shipping amount. The artwork sale must still be processed through the Victoria Art Gallery website.

The payment for postage must have cleared into the artist’s bank account before they will arrange to ship. International customers will be responsible for any taxes or duties payable on import of their artwork.

I have another buyer for the artwork. What do I do?

The artwork you have committed to putting into the BSA open exhibition should not be for sale anywhere else unless you have duplicates. If you have duplicates, please remember to keep one aside for sale through the BSA open exhibition.
