These materials have a rich association with underlying geology, history and society. Until 5 Feb 2012. Kate Flood's radiant landscapes convey transient moments and a sense of stillness. Sometimes the view is from a window or a shaded enclosure, looking out towards the light or onto a glade: her aim being to explore the contrast between stillness and the shifting patterns of foliage, light and shade. 11 Feb - 21 March 2012. Gillian Ayres, one of our most celebrated artists, taught at Bath Academy of Art in the 1960s. Known for painting with bold colours and textures on a large scale, she has collaborated with the local 107 Workshop, amongst others, to replicate this style in limited editions. These form the backbone to this selling show, which also features a group of new paintings. 11 Feb - 21 March. A member of the Royal Watercolour Society, David has lived close to the Somerset levels for many years.
