Lift
A new lift linking all three levels of the building has been installed. The new facility enables wheelchair users and parents with buggies to visit the permanent collection on the first floor as well as taking part in our monthly store tours.

New gallery space
As part of the lift contract, a new gallery space was launched in April 2009 on the first floor. Its purpose is to take changing displays of items from the permanent collection that are currently in store.

Access to the collection
We have been working on computerising our collection records, and adding digital images of works of art to the database. This is gradually being transformed into a public access system on our website. So far you can search for images of Bath and works of art featured in our display, Three Centuries of British Art.
