Creating landscapes
26 June - 5 September 2010

Explore the Victoria Art Gallery's special exhibition on Matthew Smith. Pupils will explore the special exhibition, and use a variety of media in different colour tone to create summer landscapes. 2 hour activity, £60 per session, please book on 01225 477757.

What a picture!
Look at the science and mathematics of creating a three dimensional effect in pictures by using perspective.

Make your move!
This interactive session looks at movement in the works of artists such as Roberts, La Thangue and Armitage. It forms the basis for individual work on movement.

Through wartime eyes
Pupils will analyse the paintings inspired by the Bath Blitz of 1942, and produce their own artwork and writing.

Facing up to it

Work with portraits by artists such as Angelica Kauffmann, Rex Whistler and Peter Blake and use a range of media to draw portraits in pairs. Produce a 3D abstract piece of work using card and scissors or concentrate on a historic period such as Tudors or Victorians.
