The Friends arrange specialist seminars and events to promote
the Gallery to the public and sponsors, and have joint events with
the Art Fund.
Money is raised from wine sales at Friends Private Views of all
new exhibitions.The Friends fund the printing of postcards of
Gallery exhibits for sale for the benefit of the Gallery. There are
also visits to places relevant to the study of art and the
collections.
Events:
18 October: Talk on the Radev Collection
exhibition by Jon Benington, in conjunction with the Art Fund.
25 October: Iford Manor visit, to see the
rarely-open house and the private gardens.
3 November: Firework Party. 6.45pm at the
Gallery.
30 November: Christmas Quiz (guess the purpose
of some weird and wonderful vintage kitchenalia) and the unveiling
of the FOVAG Christmas Tree supplied by Bath Aqua Glass. 6.30 pm at
the Gallery.
15 January 2013: Talk on Bath City silver by
expert Duncan Campbell. 6.30pm, Brunswick Room, Guildhall
