Thomas Malton, The Completion of the Royal Crescent, 1769

One of the most famous streets in Bath, the Royal Crescent now overlooks the city. When it was built it was right on the edge of the growing town. It was built by John Wood the Younger and completed around 1775. He and his father, Wood the Elder, were the two most important architects involved in building the Georgian city.
